Our Team
MacKenzie Malloy
MacKenzie’s passions in life have always revolved around nature and animals. As a kid with a pet snake, followed by a pet duck: no animal was excluded. Her friends call her the dog whisperer, as even the difficult ones warm up to her very quickly.
MacKenzie currently fosters dogs out on her little farmstead with her three dogs, two cats, and a soon to be full chicken coop. In her free time MacKenzie teaches yoga, practices martial arts, and does every outside activity she can find.
Sam is a Lincoln/Bismarck native. Her love of helping people is amplified when it comes to taking care of their animal’s. From cats, dogs, ferrets, snakes and even a few bottle calves, she loves them all.
You can find Sam going on adventures with her dog, Millie, and spending time with family and friends.
Samantha Lachenmeier
Rachael Howard
Rachael is a transplant to Bismarck from the East Coast. A lover of animals, mom of three, and a small business owner Rachael spends any free time she can find in the sunshine with her friends/family and pets.
Growing up on a farm she’s accustomed to dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and even bottle feeding calves and lambs. Rachael owns 3andme where she’s a master at making lattes and the most healthy lunches around.
Cassandra Sattler
If you lose Cass at a party, you will find her with the dog. Her love for animals began as a child bringing home lost cats and not so lost snakes and frogs. She began fostering animals in 2019 when she purchased her home, and fostering naturally led into pet sitting.
Cass enjoys activities she can do with her animals such as camping, hiking, kayaking, or staying at home and curling up with a good Science Fiction Novel.
Chelsy Ciavarella
Growing up south of Bismarck, Chelsy was given a very animal friendly life from the start. From the standard house pets, to Sugar Baby (ifkyk), no furry creature was left behind.
Chelsy also owns Poppy Creative. In her free time you’ll find her doing all things crafty while hanging out with her three dogs: Rooney, Finnley, and Jordie.
Abbie Kappala
IAbbie is currently a high school senior at Mandan High School. Her love of animals started with her mom’s fostering of all sorts of furry creatures. She’s even brought a few home herself. Abbie is known to run onto the road to save a turtle or to bring a deceased animal home for a proper burial. With Abbie’s big heart, she’s not sure what is in store for her life, but she is leaning heavily towards health care.
